Matches of the 2nd turn of regular season

Calzedonia Verona Sir Safety Conad Perugia 0-3 (12-25, 17-25, 18-25)
Perugia immediately puts its opponent in trouble with the impressive series by the service line of Atanasijevic and Leon (2 aces each). The Umbrian team doesn’t give a breather, the hosts are unable to react and the first set ends quickly. In the second there is more balance, they go ahead point-to-point, until a super Podrascanin decides not to let anyone else pass the net, making five blocks. In the third set, after a good start of Verona, Perugia is more lucid and concrete and wins.
MVP: Wilfredo Leon Venero

Cucine Lube Civitanova - Consar Ravenna 3-0 (25-19, 25-23, 25-18)
After a long wait due to recovery after the knee surgery, Sokolov plays as a titular member. Simon, as a result, returns to his middle blocker role, while Stankovic remains on the sidelines.
Good performance of Ravenna in the first half of the sets, but Civitanova can take advantage of every opportunity to create decisive points. Only in the second set the final is uncertain, thanks to the guests’ comeback from 22-19 to 22-22.
MVP: Osmany Juantorena

Revivre Axopower Milano - Kioene Padova 3-1 (19-25, 25-23, 25-23, 28-26)
First three points for Milano, which in this match must do without Abdel-Aziz (back problems), but celebrates the return to the court of Piano, after the Achilles tendon surgery and the long recovery.
After a first set with some mistakes of the hosts and well managed by Padova, Milano regains confidence and enthusiasm. None of the two formations wants to throw in the towel, but in the end the home team manages to conquer the whole stakes, denying the tie-break to the opponents with the victory in the fourth set.
MVP: Matteo Piano

Top Volley Latina Vero Volley Monza 1-3 (24-26, 23-25, 25-22, 23-25)
Despite a good level of play, Latina doesn’t even get a point. Two set points available in the first set, leading up almost to the end in the second, victory in the third, and parity in the fourth with 22 points. Latina remains with a bit of regret for not having arrived at the tie-break.
A very balanced match, with Monza’s players attentive and concrete in decisive moments.
MVP: Viktor Yosifov

Globo Banca Popolare del Frusinate Sora - Itas Trentino 1-3 (22-25, 20-25, 25-22, 19-25)
New season and new building for Sora, which plays at the PalaCoccia in Veroli.
After the first two sets lost, in the third the hosts are good to take advantage of a momentary decline in intensity by the guests and reopen the match. In the fourth set, the team coached by Lorenzetti finds the concentration and raises its level of play, determined to close the game and return home with three points.
MVP: Srecko Lisinac

BCC Castellana Grotte Azimut Leo Shoes Modena 2-3 (17-25, 25-23, 19-25, 25-20, 10-15)
Castellana Grotte gets the first, important point of the season, surprisingly, against Modena. Even without win, the team gets the satisfaction of showing good things, keep up with a tough opponent like Modena, and conquer a point.
Great performance by Zingel, decisive in attack and author of 6 blocks.
On the other side of the net stand out the 30 points by Zaytsev, always ready in attack and determining with his series by the service line.
MVP: Ivan Zaytsev
